I was fortunate to see this Lark Sparrow as one of my last birds of the morning. Nice find, John! It was at the southeast corner of the airport along Yale Road side of the corner. Quite a looker of a bird and one I've not seen for quite a few years. Got lucky with the photos Lots of action in the early morning there. A large loose flock of mostly Yellow-rumped Warblers moved past heading west. They did not pause much to feed but were feeding as they went. Maybe that's an early-morning thing as they get settled? Wilson's Warbler were quite numerous. A House Wren, Vesper Sparrow and a couple Dusky Flycatchers rounded out the more interesting ones. _0238827 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr _0238822 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr _0238816 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr

I went looking for the Lark Sparrow this morning, no luck. Tried again at noon, with no luck again.
Found a couple of Yellow-headed Blackbird inside the weather station while I was waiting.

Great pics of a good bird. I like the first sharp image with the details on the mossy branch etc. 👍👍
