A couple of weeks ago I posted the arrival of 2 goslings at Mill Lake. It appears one has disappeared as there was only one today.

One of our local raccoons has been photographed swimming out to the nests of the Canada Geese. Wilband had a lot of Geese nesting on a island in the main pond last year and the previous years. The eggs were addeled last year and the year before and this year I dont think there is a nest there. There are fewer geese anywhere on the ponds compared to previous years. The Cackling Geese have arrived though. I always think of Coyotes getting the eggs but I bet Racoons are just as big a threat.
