I saw my first warbler of the year today on the west side of Aldergrove Park: a yellow-rumped warbler. It was flitting around the water's edge at one of the ponds in the southwest part of the park. Seems to be an area that is only recently open to the public? The trails are grassy, not gravel, and eventually end at private property. It looks like good birding there though. Looking forward to spring!
