My Konica Minolta Digital Camera which has been acting up for several months now (refuses to Focus)....seem's to have died for good as all the tricks I used to get it going again aren't working this time.
I am thinking of purchasing the Olympus SP-550 Ultra Zoom camera to replace it. I'm wondering if anyone else has purchased this camera and if so what your opinion of it is. I still have my digital SLR but can't manage both it and my dog.....need a smaller camera to have with me at all times.
Thanks for any feedback you can give.

Since nobody responded to this I am assuming nobody has this camera. Well I bought myself one last night. It is still sitting in the box 'cause I'm waiting until I have some down time to sit and deal with learning the in's and out's of another camera. So far I've only put the neck strap on it. Weather isn't conducive to going out and experimenting either....but I will let you know what I think of it when I get to try it. At 18 x zoom it's got to be good!

Sorry, Kathy, I dont have the camera but was going to reply anyway.
The closest Ive used is the Canon S3 IS cameras.
Im sort of the wrong person to ask about these cameras as I find them difficult to use myself. Nothing against the cameras at all. But after playing with Mom's I am finding that you can get a lot out of them. I think the one you bought is similar to the Canon S3 IS (I think they're the S3, maybe S2?).
