Heard and saw a Swamp Sparrow at the west end of the marsh along the walking trail on the south end. Listen for the metallic chip.

I have been looking for a Swamp Sparrow there since Gord reported one last year. I looked and listened for a long while and found nothing, as I was about to leave the area I heard some other bird I did not recognise, not a Swamp Sparrow, but it made me re-walk the area. I played a set of Chip Calls to see what I should be listening for and instantly had a Swamp Sparrow pop out of the brush, practically at My feet. It chipped back at me and jumped about the bush, staying out long enough for me to adjust my binos for a close up.
Far west end of the marsh.

Ken, glad you got it. Thacker has good habitat for Swamp Sparrow. Might hang out there for a bit. Did you see any dippers there?
