It was a nice day to get out and we stopped by Harrison Lake for a visit. Like Chris's report, there were not a lot of smaller birds about. We saw a Western Meadowlark early on when it flew up from the grass but we couldn't find it after. A young Horned Lark more than made up for the quietness. Benny set up for photos. And it came towards him Img_3218 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Right up to his shoes! Img_3222 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Img_3224 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr What a cool experience for him. He got some great photos of it as well that he wanted to share. With an insect Img_5904 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Img_5815 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Img_5872 by Geordie LaForge, on Flickr Out on the water we didn't spot the Pacific Loon but saw a small gull-shaped bird on the water. Presently it flew and divulged its identity as an adult Common Tern. A lifer for Benny and a good one for the Fraser Valley.
