I did some birding at Boundary Bay last night. The shorebirds were great, in particular Western Sandpipers. The most I have seen there. Tough to estimate but there were probably around 5000. Good numbers of Black-bellied Plovers as well. I did manage to pick out on Red Knot and surprisingly a Surfbird through my scope.
Great time of year to visit Boundary Bay just check the tides.

It's been awhile since I was out last and hoping to get there this fall at some point. Surfbird has to be uncommon there. Nice one.
