One was there this morning. I think I saw 3 far on the lake as they looked good for shorebirds and landed on the water.
The duck situation wasn't impressive. 1 Common Merganser, a few Loons and 3 Green-winged Teal were the best I could see.

I saw three Red-necked Phalaropes out on the water this morning. A lone Surf Scoter as well. Lots of swallows had all but Cliff. A couple of young Tree Swallows which is already starting to get late for them as they are the first to head off from the area. Many swallows were sitting on the beach and some picking up the goose feathers. I wonder what that’s about I see them do that every fall. Sometimes they pick at lengths of dry grass as well. Nice nest material if it were early May!
