Last Saturday my husband and I did one of our marathon drives, up the Fraser Canyon to Spenses Bridge then to Merritt out to Aspen Grove, back to Merritt and home via the Coquilla.
The only sighting of note were some Western Grebes on Nicola Lake. I don't know how unusual it is to see them there, I know I've never seen them there before. There were, in fact a lot of Grebes on the lake, especially at the far north eastern end where it wasn't quite so windy. As well as the Westerns, we saw the usual Red Necks, and also Eared and Horned.

Im not sure either, Kathy. I do know they're a listed species so any sightings, especially inland ones, are probably very worthwhile.
