Saturday morning was very birdy in the Neighbourhood, the afternoon was dominated by mowers, blowers, power washers, grinders and heavy equipment.
We have Eurasion Collared-Dove that can be heard almost constantly for the last couple of weeks and was in the back yard with a Downy Woodpecker, Western Wood-Pewee, Evening Grosbeak, Western Tanager and Yellow Warbler yesterday.
New yard birds were Wilson's Warbler and Warbling Vireo, including a visit to the Hummer perch by one of the WAVI, just feet away while I was having coffee.

Since Jon pointed Me to bar charts and I realised I could have all these charts for all My sites. This made me think I should complete regular yard checklists and do a complete tour of the yard. I think certain neighbours are concerned about me wandering the yard perimeter with my binoculars.
This has led to new Yard birds that I would have missed, today I got Pacific-slope Flycatcher and Black Swift.

This is one of the reasons I tend to simply bird at my place - I love adding to the data bank and populating the bar charts. It's neat to view these and see how things come and go as you get more data. I'm at 423 complete checklists for my place. Many of these are walking the perimeter as you do (I try to do this once weekly). However, I also have a fair number of stationary lists when I'm reading on my deck or spending 5 or 10 minutes noting every bird I see/hear. Keep it up and enjoy!
