A visit to Harrison on Saturday morning produced a few Scoters including 2 White-winged. Seemed to be a little quieter with waterfowl. Was hoping for a Snow Bunting or a Long-tailed Duck but didn't see any. On Whelpton road, there were 54 Snow Geese and hundreds of Cackling Geese.
This morning a walk along Jesperson Dyke was very productive. Another large flock of Cacklings was present along with 22 Snow Geese. At one point a Peregrine Falcon tried to catch a duck. Don't think it was successful though. There was a Red-necked Grebe in the small pond and two Trumpeter Swans were in a field.

This morning (Wed) in the field right under the Agassiz/Rosedale Bridge north ramp, were at least 350 Snow Geese with more arriving as I watched. Still not the numbers that were seen closer to town last year but still an impressive sight. Quite a few Canada/Cackling Geese as well but only in the dozens at this point.
