Great shot, Roy! Looks like a Sooty grouse to me. However, it could be a Dusky, given the location.

Hard to tell. I believe the easiest diagnostic is the thickness of the grey band at the end of the tail. Sooty has a thick grey band while Dusky has a very thin grey band. Still trying to find my first Dusky.
