Thanks all! Good additions. We're up to 109 species. I also added Vesper Sparrow (Island 22 on the 6th and on the 9th in Hope near the McDonald's) a Sharp-shinned Hawk recently as a migrant fly over and I also saw my fall's first Golden-crowned Sparrows also at Island 22.

Needle Peak trail today in the fresh snow with a group of eager 8-12 year olds sighted 5 white-tailed ptarmigan along with 20+ horned lark. I didn’t stop for all birds but there was a regular flow of raptors going by. Too bad I had my primary responsibility of watching students or I may have had decent list. Beautiful day out there!

Updated Notable Adds: Double-crested Cormorant earlier in the month flying over the Abbotsford Mission Bridge Great Horned Owl this evening at the Great Blue Heron Barn Owl called a couple times over he month at our yard Notable misses: Eastern Kingbird wasted little time leaving this year. They were gone by late August. Usually we get one or two into the first week of September Lesser Scaup usually shows in a small amounts by the end of the month Anyone get a Barrows Goldeneye at Sunshine Valley or Silver Lake? Gadwall seems to be missing. I could not find one in my notes Greater Yellowlegs should be hidden somewhere! Northern Rough-wing and Cliff Swallow absent Brown-headed Cowbird...? September is a fun month. A few less species than average this year, but some interesting ones showed up
