I came across what I think is a warbler but I have little experience with mid summer birds and this one has me stumped. I found it with a number of other song birds on the bank of the Fraser River at the end of Gladwin a couple days ago. They were all feeding in amongst the willows on both sides of the path. There were Black-throated Gray Warblers, Common Yellowthroat, Song Sparrow, Black-capped Chickadees, Downy Woodpecker, Orange-crowned Warbler. At first though I figured it was just a Pine Siskin but later when looking at the images and going through my bird ID books I found I could not name it. I think there was two of them, there was so much bird movement and with white skies I had trouble keeping my eyes on them. Thank you very much Jon. I have never seen a Yellow-rumped Warbler this young before, perhaps just recently fledged. It is possible there were adult Yellow-rumped Warblers in the mix that I did not see or get images of, they were all quite actively feeding.

Yesterday I saw a similar bird at Harrison, and it was not with an adult. If it can fly and eat on it's own, there is no need for an adult. Disclaimer: I don't know this for sure, but it seems logical to me

I remember being stumped by these the first time I saw a couple that were so streaky. It wasn't until they flew and the bright yellow rump flashed that I made the connection.

Thank you all for the assistance. I never got a clear image of the rumps so I did not have that added information to help ID them. While it was a minor fall out of small birds it was a major fallout of mosquitos and I forgot my bug spray. They kept me moving and I fled without getting as good as images as I would have liked. The next day I found I was majorly bit, kept me from going out for a few days. Oh well the price you pay!
