We had a Bittern at the arched SW bridge Wilband, this morning. It creeped into the grass as soon as we spotted it.

I saw several common nighthawks feeding along with a flock of smaller birds, probably swallows, near Lefeuvre Road in Glen Valley on three evenings last week. There was also a Cooper's hawk on a power pole in the same area. A couple of weeks earlier at home I heard a barred owl call.
