Hiked about half of the Poland Lake trail in the morning. It's just on the other side of the Strawberry Flats trail. Good numbers of Hermit Thrush and Townsend's Warblers. The highlight was two small grouse which I thought were Spruce but doing some quick looks online it seems like it is a Sooty. Here's the photo, any suggestions? At the Cascade lookout were Cascade Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels and a Marmot On one of the trails, a bear was encountered. It was in the bushes but then climbed up on the logs to get a better view. Manning is always a nice place to visit.
