On my home from finally seeing the Black-bellied Plovers on Banford Rd today I drove past an enormous brush fire on the Bert Brink Wildlife Management Area in Chilliwack which is just west of Lickman Rd. I couldn't stop but only last week I had many species of ducks, Northern Shrike and other birds at the same spot. Here is link to the property for those who may not have been there. Hopefully the damage won't be too long lasting. Fortunately the nesting season isn't in full swing for most species. www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content/environment/plants-animals-ecosystems/wildlife/wildlife-habitats/conservation-lands/wma/wmas-list/bert-brinkJohn Gordon Thanks to Gord G and Ed K for getting me on the Plovers, my third attempt. As an aside anyone out there have Mourning Doves or Band-tailed Pigeons coming to their feeders. Cheers John Gordon
