Yesterday, I went with Ed, John V, and Larry to look for a few rarities out west. Our first stop was the White Rock pier, where we found an Eared grebe, and enjoyed great views of a Long-tailed duck. In addition to a long-staying Willet, we found the highlights of the day: a Red knot and a Pacific golden-plover . Both of these were lifers for me, and the knot was a lifer for Ed as well.
