Being new to birding in this area, I am challenged by the id of flycatchers, especially when I do not hear a call. I am thinking this is a Pacific slope flycatcher, although the rounded head seems odd. Could someone please confirm? Thank you.
I suspect it might be one? The beak is long and the primary projection is pretty short. The eye-ring is suitable for Hammond's and Dusky too but the short primary projection would eliminate Hammond's who have a long one (and a stubby bill too). Did you happen to get any more photos of the front perhaps? Fantastic photo!

Unfortunately, I did not manage a photo of the front as the bird flew away. Thank you for the comments as Hammond's was certainly one I wondered about. I heard several Hammond's calls at another location in the same general area (Rolley Lake). I have no experience with the dusky flycatcher.
