Well done everyone! 3rd best May on record. Any final additions? The only bird eBird has that isn't on the list (I think) is Purple Martin. Not sure if anyone on the forum has seen any though... Edit: also Ring-necked pheasant, Am 3toed woodpecker, and pine grosbeak... Edit2: Ed had Northern Pintail on the 22nd Not sure what we had that eBird doesn't. *Shrug*

I believe the intended goal is to have sightings from members of the forum, rather than eBird as a whole so I don't think you need to worry about checking eBird lists to see what's missing. Gord, maybe you can clarify?

I understand that eBird is outside the scope of the challenge. I was just comparing the two to see what (if anything) was missing.
I find the effort to contribute kinda high: It'd be great if I could just post all my sightings, but then you'd have to filter out which are new and which aren't...

Jon, please dont feel this exercise needs to be a burden or anything. Totally voluntary and we do keep an eye on general reports to add to the list so if not posted here I'll still find it and usually make a comment when I update where it came from. I know there's times myself where I share casually or in a bundle after looking at the Google document that shows what's missing. At times I've found it fun to see something missing that usually should be found and go and find it. A neat way to get me out enjoying birds in an area I might not have otherwise gone (ie. Chilliwack River to find a Dipper for the month etc). The little 'game' was started just among the forum members so in the spirit of playing consistently I'm certainly happy to keep it that way. Randy I have a Grey Catbird to add from Hope Airport in late May.
