I don't think I've posted before but many of you know me. Just wondering if there is an expedition planned for Mt. Cheam. I would like to get involved if there is.

Hi Len There is a hike on July 21 to Cheam for Canadas Park's Day. We're meeting at 7:00 at Thompson Park and heading up fairly soon after 7:00 as I want to get a good start. I hope you can make it Len! Those needing a ride in a clearance (height, not value!  ) truck I dont think there's currently room in the trucks that I know are going. This might be a good time to reopen discussion to make sure all who are coming still are. Im not trying to give up your seats though! I just made it last weekend to the parking lot. Short trucks make it but longboxes are getting beat up. I got an update on the road and it supposed to be complete by Saturday (14th). Until I look at it, I wont know if repairs will mean a gentler road for perhaps 2wd vehicles. But from the money and time dedicated to repairs it looks like they'll only be focusing on the washouts. |

Thanks Gord. Dian wants to come also so put us both on the waiting list. If we have to, we will rent a 4x4 and if anyone else needs a ride they can chip in for the cost. We did this a few years ago and it was about 60-$70 including gas so it would be nice to share it with someone. i suppose I could advertise on BCVANBIRDS but will wait until the last week in case someone comes forward with a vehicle. Keep in touch.
