I was able to visit the newly reopened Pier last week in White Rock. Not the best timing as it was sort of foggy but it was nice to walk on the much more solid renovated section. A couple Common Loons were hunting along the west side and a couple dozen Surf Scoters were out to the foggy east side with Canada Geese and Mallards on the shore by the White Rock it self. The best birds I got to see were half a dozen Black Turnstones resting on the breakwater just off The Pier.
