What a great find! So far there have been no reports of this rarity from yesterday.

Len. I'm glad you got the bird when you did. Last evening Ed and Larry and Joel and I went out (with many other birders) but the bird did not show! John Vooys

Yes, several of us did walk the spit several times. Lots of eyes looking. No bird seen.
