Fraser Valley Regional Parks is again holding an event to celebrate Canada Park's Day on July 21. The event is a hike up Cheam Ridge Regional Trail to see the wildflowers in bloom, observe alpine wildlife and take in the stunning views. This is always a fun hike with plenty to see which makes the steady uphill climb worthwhile. Highlight bird species include the white-tailed and rock ptarmigan, rosy-finches, horned larks, hermit thrushes and many many others. We meet at Thompson Regional Park at 7:30 and usually end up at the parking lot by 8:30. End time is usually about 4:30 back at Thompson Park. A vehicle with good clearance is necessary. For those who dont have such a vehicle, there will be spaces avaliable on a limited basis in mine or Dave's (and maybe others?) trucks. Further details will follow. For those interested it might be a good idea, especially for those who need a ride, to speak up and reserve a space!

Ill start an attendance list to ensure there are rides for everyone.
(I will update this post with updates until more posts are made by others.)
I can take 3 in my truck and so can Dave. This leaves, at the moment, two spots left for a ride.

Alright, with what we have for vehicles, we now have a full compliment. I sure hate to exclude anyone so if there's more interest, I hope it will come with a vehicle!
Um, I meant to say that I hope interest will be expressed AND that along the way, a suitable vehicle would come too. Sort of sounds that anyone else who wants to come better bring a truck too!
