Hi Birders Still lots of Siskins at the feeders and one this morning with a white cap. I managed to get a photo of it (not very good but maybe enough to give an indication). A lot of activity at the feeders with House Finches;Evening Grosbeaks;Siskins of course;Goldfinches;Juncos;Steller's Jay; White-crowned sparrows; Song Sparrows and a Yellow-rumped Warbler flitting through beneath the feeder. Nice morning.

Nice pic, Mac--I have lots of these guy's here, and Am. Goldfinches, pretty much to the exclusion of everything else. Having said that, I am happy to get anything at the feeders--the Siskins have really taken over!---Al

Hi Al The siskins certainly have taken over! I watched one face up an Evening Grosbeak this morning and chase it off the feeder. The only bird they seem to make way for is the Stellar's Jay...not surprising since I saw a Jay, last year, catch a Siskin in flight; kill it and eat it.

Mac......you should send a picture of that 'White Cap' Pine Sisken to Bird Studies Canada (instructions under 'reporting oddballs' in the general discussion section....thats the first case of a Sisken with albino markings that I've heard of. I don't know why but birds with these albino markings really fascinate me.

Hi Kathy
Yes I will send a photo...I'm trying to get a better one though. If I can't I'll send this one. Thanks for the heads up.
