No. 1 -Osprey nest on east side of the mouth of Silver Creek blew down in Sunday's windstorm. No. 2 -Robins have arrived in FORCE. No. 3 -Backyard towhees are here. As soon as we leave our house, they start approaching us chirping... translation: "we want half a cashew nut or the little dog gets it" p.s. Adrienne, our hairy woodpeckers are still ok. Happy to hear that Anika is interested in your backyard birds, it must be in her genes!

Glad to hear the hairy is doing well! Hehe, with those red eyes I could easily see them making threats! My towhees used to like a nut as well. Id give them a peanut and they'd carry it off to the safety of the bushes to presumedly get inside it. I guess I could have saved them the trouble and shelled them first.
