It was nice to see Varied Thrush back in the yard, among the usual crew! Who has seen Redpolls, Crossbills, Pine Grosbeaks, etc??? Key your eyes open with all this snow! Like Gord often says, "You never know!" (Personally, I am hoping for a Rock Ptarmigan in my front yard - They only live a few thousand feet straight up from my driveway - I am sure things are a little breezy up there right now for them.) Good work on the Waxwings, Jeff! Follow Al's example and order that Canon S3 ;D. Enjoy Birding, Dave

Dave, awesome pictures!Thank you!--I am sure that there MAY be a lost Ptarmigan SOMEWHERE on your property, but may take some patience--hehheh ;D ;D ;D--as for the rest, no, I feel very lucky indeed to have been home and spotting what I have so far. I even shovelled off my patio during a midday hiatus of visitors, --that is when the Towhee showed, and also, unfortunately a "piggy" starling who scattered the "mob" --Al
