As the subject line reads, moving is brutal. We're getting settled in slowly but surely.
We dont have internet yet either but hope that problem gets settled soon.
I cant wait to get back to here! I see new members and lots of great posts. Welcome to new people and good to see that people are getting out!

Hi Gord I sympathise and empathise!! Moving is 'orrible. But given a couple of weeks you get used to the chaos and the knowledge that there are some of your prized possessions (like Bird books) that you may not find this side of Christmas! ;D ...just to cheer you up

Hehe, thanks Mac. I made sure all my birding gear was in one rubbermade container which was never far from my sight. Actually we've been able to find most things we go looking for. Al, a certain amount of cleaning house is indeed going on here. Im not moving that much junk again!! The recycling, dump and Bibles for Missions has no doubt noticed an increase in materials. Finally getting everything to work. Spent an hour last night on the phone ON HOLD to get the satellite dish going. (no cable out here!) Actually, it was two half hour attempts. The first one was terminated when I attempted to open a halloween candy while still holding the phone and accidentally hit the off button. Duh. Then when I finally got through to someone they cheerfully informed me that new customers must call between 7 and 11 am eastern time to get activated. I wonder why, between all the advertisements for products and launching into the same old routine of perky elevator music, that this little bit of valuable information was not shared during some point. Anyway, this morning the fellow was very helpful and all's well. Our internet was a different story. After a good 3 hours over two days talking to five different Telus agents, most of whom were obviously flipping through a trouble shooting guide, I got one that seemed to have a bit more knowledge. I suspect the problem was painfully easy but I wont dwell on that. I can still recite Satellite commercials and hum the tunes (including a Rod Stewart hit!!! ;D ) from the two businesses' On Hold Recordings. Ok, before I fall into bed, I want to see what's been going on and what's being seen.

That was so funny, that tears streamed while reading, we can laugh because we have had similar experiences and can also sympathize. Hope that candy was good!!!

The one positive is, you are now closer to a good birding area.

Speaking of that area, I need to get over there yet! I heard a Great Horned Owl hooting from over that way a couple nights ago.
