Darn rain!!
I noticed a Tortoiseshell at Island 22 on Tuesday, two little blues at Cheam Lake and an Orangetip at the Vedder Canal on Sunday. Dont recall seeing blues until later in the summer.

Hay Gordy, Yes the rain just ends any butterfly fun. The blue is the western spring azure and like it's name implies it flies in spring. It flies from about March 20, through till Aug. 10 in BC. It has to generation per year and the second usually has a lot more of them flying. Denis

I saw 3 Sara orangetips out at the base of Sumas Mountain yesterday. Two were fighting, butterfly style.
