Hi all,
On November 6 2015 the male BLACK SCOTER was still on the lakefront with 3 female SURF SCOTERS. Also on the lake were COMMON LOON, HORNED GREBE and RED-NECKED GREBE. In the boat launch gravel parking lot were the 6 SNOW BUNTINGS and 2 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS, while about halfway around the lagoon trail was a LAPLAND LONGSPUR.
Good Birding,
Dan Tyson Langley, BC

Danny, John Vooys and I were also at Harrison Lake today. We missed out on the Lapland longspur but initially saw 8 Snow Buntings. We also saw a Bonaparte Gull in the Lagoon. The Scoters were present as well...good birds! Harrison Lake can be hit and miss, but some great birds do show up there! Ed Klassen
