This was posted by a hiker on the Chilliwack BC Hiking Club facebook page. I got permission from her to repost it here. This juvenile saw whet was seen along the trail just past the memorial plaque. I've never seen a young one before, so I had to look this up to double check.

Wonderful! One has to wonder if that's from a nest near by. Given the time of year it's most likely to have been a local breeder. Thanks for sharing it.
