There is a bird photography problem at Elk View Rd as we speak. In the Photo Gallery section I have presented some images taken yesterday, illustrated what the problem is, and have invited you all to participate in offering solutions. This photo had very little cropping. I used a 300mm + 1.4x lens, and it filled the frame. BUT ... I did not chase the bird to get it. At 25' away, it came to me, not me to it. How can this be possible? Get close to a wee owl such as this, and not be an idiot to do it. Yesterday, about 25 of us did it. We all got shots like this, and everyone was a responsible birder or photographer. It can be done. Follow the discussion (not all completed yet) and learn how.
