I saw an adult Gyrfalcon in Sumas Prairie, today. It was located on Marion, between Campbell and No. 5 roads. It was in the tree that sits just south of the farm on the west side of Marion. This was his normal hangout last season. Wes Attachments:

Yes, still there today and also roosted in a barn with an open door. Also saw 4 other species of raptors there this morning including my first Rough-legged Hawk of the season.

This was his normal hangout last season. Wes Bird was still there this morning, contentedly preening and seemingly glued to the branch. I got some peek-a-book pictures from the road, through branches; not great, but clear enough for ID purposes. Thanks for the clear directions. I also saw the rough-legged noted by stevej; watched it hunting for a while in the field at SE corner of Marion and Campbell. Anne
