Dave Beeke and I went to Hope Airport. First stop was Jack's place. His garden was quite active with Goldfinches and White-crowned Sparrows. A different looking bird flew up and landed on the fence post. Turned out to be a Chipping Sparrow. A few moments later another one landed in a conifer. It was a Clay-colored Sparrow. This is the first one for me in the valley.
There were a couple of Black-throated Gray Warblers on Jacks property.
A couple of Kestrels were on the north side. Dave managed a shot of one of them
We stopped at the sewage ponds, a few warblers in the trees, mostly Black-throated Grays. Only one Mallard in the ponds.
