Dave Beeke and I went to Hope Airport. First stop was Jack's place. His garden was quite active with Goldfinches and White-crowned Sparrows. A different looking bird flew up and landed on the fence post. Turned out to be a Chipping Sparrow. A few moments later another one landed in a conifer. It was a Clay-colored Sparrow. This is the first one for me in the valley. There were a couple of Black-throated Gray Warblers on Jacks property. A couple of Kestrels were on the north side. Dave managed a shot of one of them We stopped at the sewage ponds, a few warblers in the trees, mostly Black-throated Grays. Only one Mallard in the ponds. The list Mallard 1 Great Blue Heron 1 Turkey Vulture 1 Downy Woodpecker 1 Northern Flicker 1 American Kestrel 2 Pacific-slope Flycatcher 1 Steller's Jay 3 Northwestern Crow 4 Common Raven 1 Barn Swallow 1 Black-capped Chickadee 16 Chestnut-backed Chickadee 6 Bushtit 25 Cedar Waxwing 10 Yellow-rumped Warbler 2 Black-throated Gray Warbler 9 Spotted Towhee 3 Chipping Sparrow 2 Clay-colored Sparrow 1 White-crowned Sparrow 8 House Finch 1 Pine Siskin 10 American Goldfinch 40

I thought I did it in my original post but I didn't, the photos of the sparrow were also taken by Dave.
