Murray, thanks for the sightings. I wonder if it is the same Scaup that has been in the lagoon for the past month or so?

I was surprised to see that two common species are still missing for the month: Savannah Sparrow - there were several dozen down at the blueberry field at the end of Tuyttens Road in Agassiz on the 3rd. Killdeer - one bird on the lake edge at Harrison on the 6th.
BTW Chris, I find this new system works very well, it's very easy to scan and see what's missing.

Mountain Chickadee and Mountain Bluebird from the Heather Trail in Manning. Just spent 3 days there. Anybody thinking of going to Manning this weekend - check out the Heather Trail - there are lots of migrants coming through now in the subalpine - raptors (several unidentified), flocks of Bluebirds, Horned Larks etc etc. We'll write a report in the next few days.

Murray, thanks for the sightings and the feedback as well. Works better for me as well as it saves me time.
Bryan and Janet thanks for the additions. Looking forward to the report. Heather Trail is one hike I would love to do.
I received an email which contained three new species for the month. Green Heron on Bradner, four American Kestrels (quite a good number) and Northern Harrier on Matsqui Prairie

I was planning to do a whole morning of birding, instead I slept in. A few new birds for the month. Brewer's Blackbird at Prest Rd. Red-breasted Sapsucker at Eagle Point. At Cheam I only walked to the viewing platform but did see three Blue-winged Teal.
Not new for the month but did hear a Catbird at Eagle Point.

I came across the trumpeter swan yesterday. As far as I know it is the only one left.It is in the slough heading towards Kamp rd. on Seabird Island.

Gary, it is amazing that the one bird has remained. In about a month the first swans should be arriving so it will be interesting to see what this one does. Will it stay in the same location?
From Harrison, Red-necked Grebe and Peregrine Falcon. From the turf farm in Sumas Prairie, Bank Swallow, Least and Pectoral Sandpiper.

I have not had a chance to do a report but a trip to Harrison with the kids yesterday produced new species for the month by way of Horned Grebes and a Caspian Tern that Janne (nice to see you) and I saw flying around near the lagoon.

Martin, nice work on the late Rufous. Usually almost all of them are gone now.
Bryan thanks for the Woodpecker addition. Looking forward to the report. No rush though.
Added Common Nighthawk. This evening I was shopping downtown Chilliwack and spotted two flying. I got pretty good looks at them.
