There are lots of other birds at B.B. besides the Snowy Owls. Everyone has been asking about the Short-eared Owls, and most of us have not seen them. Today while attaching a lens onto my camera I saw I dog-fight above me and quickly pulled a few shots. I didn't have time to check my settings and the shot is terrible. I thought I was capturing two Harriers, but when I looked at the images, it was a Harrier and a Short-eared! A closer look at some of the other images revealed what the fight was all about. The Short-eared had a mouse, and as usual, the Harrier wanted it. There always seems to be a Great-blue Heron near the 72nd St entrance, and today he/she was in beautiful light and background. Lots of Harriers of course. I am learning that the dark ones are females, and the light ones are males. The females easily outnumber the males. Lots and lots of Dunlans as well, but these I have posted earlier.

Nice pics Ken. I saw 3 short-eared owls the other day as well, and fared about as well as you did trying to get a picture... You did far better than I did with a harrier picture though, nice work!!
