I was scanning a group of Ring-Necked Ducks and American Widgeon when I came across this little surprise: Sorry about the image quality. The bird was a long way off and I only have a point and shoot.

Nice! On my way home from work I saw a big flock of ducks in a field including lots of wigeon. I saw your report earlier so turned around to take a look to see if there were any Eurasians to be found here too. There were two! Got some photos that will share later. Not a bad photo you got there for a point and shoot.
At Hopedale and Adams were a lot of swans. I counted 312 swans. Many, well over half, were Tundra Swans. Looks like some movement in the swans as they get ready to head north. Also here was that Harlan's Red-tailed Hawk and a young male Northern Harrier.

Great spot, not a bad pic for a p and s. Even with my long lens and tele it still seem far away. Had to Sat to see if it was still there and it was. Thanks for the post.

No problem Martin. I'm new to this online birding forum stuff so it's really nice to hear that my report helped someone to see something interesting.

Yes it did, Thanks As you can see I'm even newer to this forum.
I was hesitant to join into another forum, but after following this one for a while and running into Chris, It seem like a good site with a bunch of sensible posters. Unlike the other forums I have stopped posting on( Neither were birding forums though)
