Hi- I just saw a Clark's Nutcracker just east of Wahleach Road (past Seabird Island). I first observed it on Tuesday and when I saw it again this morning, virtually in the same spot, I decided to stop to see if it was alright. It flew off a few metres into a nearby shrub and seemed ok. Unfortunately it is hanging around a restricted corridor and high traffic area. Its location is just passed Wahleach Road on Hwy 7 at the apex of the hill, the Clark's Nutcracker is on the north side of the road at the base of the outcrop (exact same spot Tues/Thurs). There is no room to pull over on this stretch of highway. I often see this species at Manning Park but personally haven't seen it around here.
