Welcome to the area and the forum, watchmen.
It certainly sounds like you have settled into the local birding spots! Glad to hear the Clark's Grebe is kicking around. I also liked your comparison of the Dipper to a Spotted Sandpiper. It certainly took me buy surprise when I first glanced at the little guy swimming along the shoreline the other day.
Plenty of great sightings already and looking forward to hearing more from you! I will update our monthly list as well with the Thayer's + Western Gulls, Merlin, and Swamp Sparrow.
Welcome and thanks for sharing the sightings,
Dave Beeke

Hi and welcome! A great day birding! Nice find on the Swamp Sparrow. I have a good idea where you were. Might be inside Cheam Lake Wetlands Park. If so, a new species for the park! Well done, and nice finds.

Hey Watchmen, Welcome! Nice report, and great day of birds!
p.s. Cool name. I'm not up on my graphic novels, but I've certainly heard of Mr. Moore and his most famous creation...
