HEADS UP, CHRIS!!! A Long-tailed Duck has finally shown up on Harrison Lake. I usually see 1 in October, but this year he's late!!! Spotted him with a Scoter close to the Marinas. Take Lillooet Ave to the right and proceed around the lake as if going to Sasquatch Park. Just past the Art Gallery, the marinas start and there are a couple of gravel pullouts along the road, where you can park. At the end of the marinas is a gravel parking lot and the rock breakwater. This area is where the windsurfers take off. The Long-tail was around the middle of this area. I used the little gravel pull out just before Killer's Cove Marina for the best view, but in past they have also hung out just off Rendall Park on the Main Beach. P.S. And there are still rafts of ducks out on the lake beyond range... Yes, if we have any nice weather it would be great to get out there to see what is what... I was looking in vain for black scoters when I spotted the long-tail...
