Another late report from a foray up there. The snow had fallen especially a little higher up. It was not overly busy for birds though. Red Crossbill, a flock of Grey-crowned Rosy-finches, a Sharp-shinned Hawk and a few of the regulars rounded out the birds. I was watching for ptarmigan, but no sign of any. Saw some footprints in around the trees but were all grouse. One day Ill get a white ptarmigan! It was really beautiful up there but fairly cold with a wind that made it a little worse especially near the top.
