I stopped by both places today. First, on Harrison Lake were about twenty Mallards, six Green-Winged Teal and 2 Pintails. Also on the shore were four Mew Gulls. These birds were seen west of the Harrison Hotel. I also saw a Double-crested Cormorant fly by. Near the lagoon was a female Lesser Scaup in the lake. Also out in the lake close the boat launch was a Common Loon. Around the lagoon I spotted one Lapland Longspur and no Horned Larks. An Osprey flew over as well. In the lagoon was about fifty American Wigeons, about twenty Green-winged Teal and one male Redhead. Out on Cheam Lake were sixty Canada Geese, twenty to thrity Ring-necked Ducks. I was there for only about a couple of minutes so I didn't fully scan the lake. Here's a picture of the loon.
