Gord those are unbelieveable picutres you managed to get!
It's a shame about the garbage. It's not hard for people to put it into a garbage can or if not close to one just put it into their pockets.

Wonderful shots Gord, I've never been that close to a LLLO myself, although I guess I haven't really tried to be either. I do know that any I have seen have been surprisingly tame. You couldn't happen to turn one of those into a Smith's or Chestnut-collared could you? I could really use one or both of those for my B.C. list. Great work.

Holy Smokes, Gord
Awesome photos! I have been working in Burns Bog and have had good looks at some Laplunds but those are impressive. We had an adult Northern Shrike today and a Rough-legged Hawk on Oct. 1st. Lots of birds moving through but nothing too exciting.
Will see you when the work is done.

Thanks everyone! I really felt privileged! They were not overly spooky, but they were best for photography when they came closer on their own accord. They can tell if you're interested in them and moving closer makes them jumpy. Probably gets the feeling of being hunted!
Murray, I looked closely at them but couldnt find anything different. That being said, that area is very likely to get something crazy though!
