I saw this guy yesterday at Jesperson Dyke and right away I assumed it was a Spotted Sandpiper but now I am not sure. What do you think? It seems like the shorebird migration is getting started.

Think that is a juvenile Spotted Sandpiper.

I saw some sort of 'peep' sandpiper fly over the highway at #3 Rd yesterday. It seemed to land in a field but I could not be sure. No way to get an ID. Migration is certainly on! The little sandpipers already are well underway. They start earlier than the small birds, but who seem to have begun as well!
