Hello birders,
today, we found two Gray Catbirds at Eagle Point Park. To see these birds, walk down the main trail from the parking lot, take a left when you get to the park, and you will see a gate that gets you into the River Reach subdivision. The birds were in this area beyond the gate.

Brent, excellent find! I bet a first for the area as well. Kathy will know for sure.
The ones at Cheam Lake put up a brief appearance and made a few 'mews' this morning. Looks like they are feeding young.

I'm going to have to go for a walk over there and see if I can find them...would make a great addition to Kathy's Korner - it needs something right now! FYI several years ago, probably about 4 or maybe 5 years ago I know a pair of them nested on the Chehalis River. We found them while we were canoeing up an arm of the river and re-visited the site several times....some where I probably still have pictures of a young one there so they have bred in the area before.
