I've been doing bird surveys up in Powell River for the past couple of weeks and either saw/heard the following birds (the ones in bold are lifers for me): ;D - oregon junco - white-crowned sparrow - golden-crowned sparrow - varied thrush - myrtle warbler - audobons warbler - townsend's solitaire- rufous hummingbird - barn swallow - tree swallow - golden-crowned kinglet - townsends warbler - turkey vulture - common loon - great blue heron - bald eagle - barred owl - yellow-headed blackbird- blue grouse - red eyed vireo - orange-crowned warbler - common raven - red-breasted sapsucker - downy woodpecker - hairy woodpecker - brown creeper - American robin - northern flicker - rufous-sided towhee - Hammond's flycatcher - Stellar's jay - grey jay - black-capped chickadee - chestnut-backed chickadee - red-breasted nuthatch - winter wren - pine siskin - red crossbill - western tanager - chipping sparrow - song sparrow 41 species...not bad! Am looking forward to going back up next week and seeing what new birds are passing through ~Stacie~
