My mother's day treat to me was a weekend trip to Tunkwa Lake.
Total species seen: 61 and that is without actually getting out on the water.
I've three or four hundred photos to download but will be trying to get some posted to my blog this week:
birdingbyshantz.blogspot.com
I did want to mention though, that after not seeing one for a year or two, there is once more a very pale colored Red Neck Grebe there. I'm not sure it is the same one that was seen for a number of years....perhaps an offspring of that one. I'll have a better idea when I get photos downloaded and can compare.
Here is the species list:
Cinnamon Teal
Green Wing Teal
Ruddy Duck
Mallard
Barrow's Golden eye
Bufflehead
Lesser Scaup - lots!
