Hi All- With the recent article in The Province regarding declining Great Blue Heron numbers due to predation, I was reminded of the photos I took this past August of a very friendly GBH juvenile. One resident pair seems to be successfully rearing at least one fledgling every summer on Landstrom Bar. and one interesting set of tracks looking for offal, no doubt. Deb

Great to hear of such success from single nests. I wonder if the nest records would be desired by the Ministry. I will email you the contact information.
Also great shots of the bear prints. It always seems, to my eye anyway, that photos of footprints in snow, mud or sand are raised and not indentations. Is it just me or do others see it that way as well?
