Along Maria Slough this morning was one, and possibly two Gray Catbirds. This was within a half kilometer of where I saw one last year on Aug. 20th. It makes me wonder if they are breeding in there.
Not too many other birds other than large numbers of American Robins, Cedar Waxwings, and two or three Willow Flycatchers. A juvenile Common Yellowthroat took me some time to ID as those pesky Fall warblers can look so much alike.
If other years are any indication the big push should start in another ten to fourteen days.
