We had a chance to watch a female Mallard swimming with a Raccoon for quite awhile at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve. We documented this unusual behaviour, all the while waiting for the Raccoon to lunch on its weird friend, it is near the half-way part of the page here for anyone that would like to see it. www.butterflyonmyshoulder.ca/Journal/06_08/06_08-13.htm

Utterly incredible photographs of a very unusual sight! That's the most awesome local photo I have ever seen.

Thanks for the compliments Gord, Kev and Onejay. Onejay, you hit the nail on the head. I've been trying to figure out why they looked familiar. We want to do a children's book out of them.
